This month we will be embroidering on any garment of your choice. This will give us the opportunity to practice design placement and stabilizer choices.
This month we will be embroidering on any garment of your choice. This will give us the opportunity to practice design placement and stabilizer choices.
Supplies:
- Choose your garment and determine your design choice. Keep in mind the type of fabric and the density of your desired design.
- A mesh stabilizer, tear away, cutaway or fusible might be stabilizer choices, depending on your garment fabric. If a pile or plush fabric you may need some wash away for the top.
- Embroidery thread of your choice
- For placement, you may find it helpful to print a template of your design, as well.
- You may also keep in mind that certain placement opportunities may require opening a seam for a more flat surface on which to embroider.
Don't forget:
- Embroidery thread of your choice
- Remember all your standard supplies like your power cord, scissors, pins, air erase marking pen, sewing thread, tape measure and ruler, and embroidery foot. ESPECIALLY YOUR MACHINE MANUAL!

| Instructor Bio: | Deb has a Family Life education degree from Western Michigan University. She has worked for three sewing machine dealers and has been leading an Embroidery Club for 10 years. Next to her horse, sewing is her second passion, something she's been doing since a child. She loves introducing and supporting others on this creative and useful art form. |
