BUS TRIP: Missouri Star

Pack your bags, we're heading to Missouri Star Quilt Company for a SHOPPING-RETREAT. Mark your calendars for October 14-17, 2025.

- All of us in one facility on one level - no stairs
- There are 6 suites with several bathrooms in each. Each suite has 2 bedrooms, each bedroom has 5 beds
- We'll have the use of 7200 sq ft event hall where we can sew and gather
- Sewing machines are available to rent for $20/day and can be reserved when we arrive. The rental includes the machine, scissors, rotary cutter and cutting mat.
Returning: October 17, 2025, to Sew Fabulous in Portage.

COST: $700/person.

SPECIAL UPDATE: Meal plans. You may choose which ones you'd like (or none at all). I would need to know by October 1 which meals you'd like to purchase.

WEDNESDAY LUNCH	Pulled Pork or Chicken Sandwich Chips, Vegetable Sticks, Cookie	$10/person
WEDNESDAY DINNER	Lasagne Bread Sticks, Salad, Dessert	$13/person
THURSDAY LUNCH	Chicken Salad on a Croissant Chips, Vegetable Sticks, Cookie	$10/person
THURSDAY DINNER	Potato Bar (sour cream, butter, nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, bacon, black olives) Salad, Dessert	$13/person

CANCELLATION POLICY: We must have a full bus for this trip so the deadline for sign up will be July 11, 2025. If we don't have a full bus, we will announce cancellation on July 14, 2025, and issue full refunds.

FULL REFUND: Cancel by May 15, 2025, for a full refund in the form of a check.
75% REFUND: Cancel by June 15, 2025, for a 75% refund in the form of a check.
50% REFUND: Cancel by July 9, 2025, for a 50% refund in the form of an In-Store credit at Sew Fabulous.
NO REFUND after July 14, 2025.

FAQ's

* Meals are not included in the $700 registration. **Please see the Meal Plan information above.**
* I'll be mapping out the trip to make sure we stop often enough for restroom and meal breaks. The hotel has limited facilities for food preparation (I don't think they have a big oven - just microwaves.)

* There is a restroom on the bus.

* The tip for the driver is NOT included in the price. I've requested the same driver we had for the Shop Hop trip we did last July and she did a great job. She was a lot of fun.

*There are options for getting to the shopping area:
Walk - we're only 1 mile from downtown so walking is definitely an option for those who can.

Our Bus - I'm going to build into our itinerary a trip downtown and back to the hotel on Wednesday and Thursday. It will be a 10:00 departure from the hotel and a 3:00 return unless the group wants other times. The bus will not be going back and forth repeatedly, though.

Shuttle - The hotel told me there is someone who is for hire to transport us outside the regular pickup/dropoff times of our bus.

Price includes bus transportation to and from the Hotel-Hamilton, Hamilton, MO; Continental breakfast, 3-night stay and sewing space during our stay.
