MICHIGAN or US Quilt

 
Join Heidi for this fun, beginner-friendly quilt making project. The MICHIGAN and the USA quilt patterns follow the same process so you can choose which you'd like to make. 

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE THE CLASS BEGINS:

• You will need to purchase the pattern and decide on the size quilt you'd like to make.
• Purchase the fabric according to the requirements on the back of the pattern.
• Cut all the strips needed according to the instructions on the back of the pattern (per the size you want to make). When you cut your strips, be sure to label them or keep them in separate baggies so you can find the color and size you need quickly and easily.

• Your pattern
• Fabric already cut in the strips according to the size you wish to make (see matrix on the back of the pattern)
• Sewing Machine with
  • Foot Pedal
  • Power Cord
  • Thread
  • Bobbin
  • Extra Needles
  • 1/4" foot is helpful but not required
• 2 1/2" Square Acrylic Ruler (4 1/2" would also work but any bigger is a bit cumbersome)
• Rotary Cutter
• Small Cutting mat (12" x 18" is best)
• Sack Lunch

• Every student must have his/her own copy of the pattern - no photocopies will be allowed. Patterns are available at Sew Fabulous (MI Quilt Pattern or USA Quilt Pattern)
• Please arrive on time so instructions won't need to be repeated. Everybody's time is valuable and I want to respect that.
• Be prepared with the supplies listed above. 
• CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations by July 7 will receive a full refund in the form of an in-store credit. If you cancel after July 11, there will be no refund, no credit.
• If there are less than 4 people who sign up, the class may be cancelled. You will receive a full refund in the form of an in-store credit. Sorry, we do not take returns on patterns.
