Join the Kalamazoo Log Cabin Quilters Workshop for One Tool Patterns (The Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star from Studio 180 Design), with Phyllis Fay at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church (7211 Oakland Dr / Portage) /Registration Required: Click here for printable form OR Click here for online registration and payment.

Learn how to use the Studio 180 Design tool, the Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star (Philliis’ favorite!) to make perfect Leymoyne stars without Y-seams or having to cut several odd shapes. You will be making a 9″ block during the workshop. The purpose of this course is to learn something new and then use your new skills on a specific project. The purchase of your tool comes with a free pattern.
Here are some features of the Rapid Fire® Lemoyne Star tool:

• Use one tool to make blocks in ten (10) different sizes.
• Each block will be made slightly oversized and then trimmed to exact precision so that all points are preserved!
• Both Left- and Right-handed instructions will be provided.
• There are 5 different variations of the Lemoyne star available; we will be doing a basic Lemoyne star during the workshop.

Required tools for the workshop (purchases can be made at the workshop):

We'll spend a day learning and creating a fantastic collage art quilt following the tried and true Laura Heine technique. Carrie Latesky, a certified Laura Heine instructor, will be guiding us through the process.
