Greetings all you wonderful sewists! I hope you are all doing well.

On Saturday, May 17, you can purchase your raffle tickets here for the quilt being given away by the Cal-Co quilt guild. All proceeds will benefit local charities. After Saturday, they will be picking it up and taking it to another shop to show it there. (Sew Fabulous does not benefit from your purchase of these raffle tickets in any way.)

This past week we spent 4 days at the Quilted Crossings in Woodland, MI. We really enjoyed this retreat center and we're so sad to see that she's closing at the end of June. Now, we're looking for a new location for our next destination retreat. (Just in case you've been wondering, I'm going to Drummond Island this summer and will check to see what accommodations there are and if we can have another retreat up there - watch the newsletter for more details when I have them.)
  

You may have noticed in the pictures above that I completed my Birds of Paradise wall hanging. Next week, Jeri and I are going to Billings, MT, to take the instructor certification course from Laura Heine. After that we'll be able to teach classes here at Sew Fabulous and for guilds. I'll keep you informed on upcoming classes as they become available.

SATURDAY: May 17, 9:30-11:30 - Beyond Bernette Basics. (This class is offered once a month - alternating Mondays & Saturdays. This month it's Saturday.) There's still room for you to join us if you own a Bernette 77 or 79 machine. This class is always free to those who purchased there B77 or B79 here at Sew Fabulous. WEDNESDAY: May 21, 1:00-4:00 - Wool and Fiber Arts Club. Share and work on your projects in this monthly Sit 'N Sew focused on hand fiber arts such as wool applique, cross-stitch, knitting, and embroidery. This gathering is open to all! No pre-registration required. Cost: $5

THURSDAY: May 22, Noon-5:00 - Sit 'N Sew. This gathering is open to all! No pre-registration required. Cost $5.

We're getting excited about the All Michigan Shop Hop and hope you are, too. Here's a tip if you're planning to make the rounds this summer: 

• Make a sheet of labels with your NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER on them so you can quickly and easily stick your information on all those contest entries you want to submit. And then don't forget to take them with you when you go Shop Hopping.
