Wow! How did we get to Memorial Day Weekend?! Time sure flies when  you're having fun. This month I've been so busy going to H&H in Chicago and learning more about the BERNINA 990 and L890; retreating at the beautiful Quilted Crossings; and going to Billings, Montana, to be certified by Laura Heine in her Collage Quilting Technique.

Jeri Bowman and I flew out to Billings, MT, on Sunday afternoon and had a relaxing day on Monday. That afternoon we all met at Fiberworks, Laura Heine's quilt shop, for our first session. We learned so much about her operations and how she builds beautiful kits for her collage patterns. There were about 25 of us there from all over the country and Jeri & I made some really good friends. Tuesday and Wednesday were spent making our projects - I made the shoes and Jeri made the handbag. This pattern, the Teeny Time Group #14, won't be available through Laura's website for 30 days - it's exclusive to Certified Instructors like us during that time. We are having a class on the Florology pattern by Laura Heine on June 21 & July 12. This design is a little bigger so it will take a few days to complete.
